Instructions

Strip a cluster from the berries

  1. Insert into a flatbed scanner and place a white sheet on top.

  2. Scan, save and upload to the site

​TIF file at 300 dpi

Settings for HP G4010 scanner were  “millions of colors” (24 bit color resolution – 8 bit per channel), sharpen mode;  "automatically adjust black and white threshold" and "use enhanced color (vivid)". Image size ranged from 5 to 10 Mb

Output data

An index value termed BR50 at a range of 0 (green tissue) to 1 (brown tissue).
